Kamakura Blog – Risk Management Lessons from Lance Armstrong

Kamakura Blog – Risk Management Lessons from Lance Armstrong.

Being an admirer of the achievements of Lance Armstrong but not a cycling person I was initially hesitant to read, and then share, this interesting analysis on Risk Management using quotes from Lance Armstrong.

However, I found the commentary about the quotes quite interesting and I think we can all relate (in the risk profession) to what both Lance and the author – Donald R. van Deventer – have to say about risk.

Have a read and see what you think.

And in the words of Lance Armstrong himself:

The Tour isn’t just a bike race, it tests you mentally, physically, and even morally.

And how true that is too for the risk professional.

Cheers
